Fruity Presentation

Hi Folks,

This presentation was meant to be played whilst you were on the actual blog, but things did not work out as planned. It's rather small! You can click the play button in the centre of the picture but I'm afraid it is not clear to see. This was meant to be added for those who did not want to download it.

If you look at where the podcast was placed you will see Fruity Friends Show which you can click on and download. You will definitely see what the show is all about. I think you will find that after Spreadsheets and Databases, presentation software is much more fun. This was created just to show you how it looks by the way, you can make your presentation look much more appealing.

Notes

I have added another link under the heading Notebook. All I have done here is to create an online notebook, which I am using to tell you to think about creating some notes on fruit, click the link and see what I have said!

You should have successfully completed your spreadsheets tasks now and I need you to check out the Database tasks.

Favourite Fruit Sites

I hope you have listened to the podcast and I want to hear your comments folks.

How are you finding your course so far, by now you should have gathered data based on students consumption of fruit, including your own and should be now creating graphs and analysing the information. When you have found out information dealing with how much fruit everyone eats, or not as the case may be, then you will need other information based on fruit. Remember you must search for any information that says how good fruit is, how much we should eat etc.

I have added a favourites section, just like when you are on your computer at home and you search for websites, you can save the web addresses so you don't have to type them out all the time. I have added the same facility for our group to use whereby I want you to search for a site about fruit and write it down ready to be added to our favourites list (I will add it for you) I will make sure that each web site address carries the name of whoever found it. (remember it all goes towards your marks!)

We will do that on Wednesday. I have added a few for you to look at. Click on rosekreative where it says I am rosekreative.

Your Flikr badge of, you guessed it Fruit!

See the badge on the left hand side of the blog and check out the fruit, if you haven't got enough fruit images have a look here and also view the 'Fruity images for use in your assignment' link. Click on an image and you can also add a comment it might be directed at me so I can respond to you in class.
How much fruit do you eat a day? Think about it as you will use this information in your project.

You can click on the badge (position the mouse pointer over the images and click) and choose more fruit to use in your assignment remember you can never have too many images. These images are good to use as they were created for educational purposes. Write down the source you got them from.

Welcome

Welcome to the course blog! A blog will be new to many of you but have no fear it's here for your use, throughout the course I'd like you to put down your comments, on any element of the course you like or dislike.

I have given you the web addresses you will need for the course but should you forget or mislay them look at the links list on the left hand side of the blog. Study your assignment carefully, remember it's all about fruit!

Kind regards Rosemary
